dispose purpose

Original essay

"Having a purpose is for fools," — Osho

While many self-help books argue that purpose is what keeps us going and positive, Osho has a different take. He believes that only machines need a purpose, not us humans who are alive and capable of love.

Imagine life as a huge canvas, waiting for you to paint it your way. Life doesn't need a fixed purpose. A life without a rigid purpose is like being free to redefine yourself every day.

In today's world, making a life without a strict purpose work means creating a system to support yourself financially. Interestingly, people who question the meaning of life have already moved beyond just surviving.

Focus on experiences. Purpose is a short term game that the world plays to overcome the line of freedom. On the other hand, experiences let you build upon what your life is today.

But it's not easy to break free from always thinking about survival. That's why many of us end up putting all our energy into having a clear purpose.

Remember, life is happening while you're busy thinking about it.
